Founded in 1930, Fairfax has served the behavioral health needs to the Greater Puget Sound area for more than 89 years, continuously building a reputation for providing the best and most compassionate patient centered care. Fairfax Health operates a 157-bed, standalone psychiatric hospital, located in Kirkland, WA; composed of six units providing specialized treatment for mental health and co-occurring disorders (concurrent mental illness and substance abuse issues), as well as detoxification services for both adolescents and adults.
Fairfax also operates a 30-bed adult general psychiatric unit, located in Everett, WA on the seventh floor of the Providence Medical Center’s Pacific campus. As well as, a 34-bed unit on the campus of EvergreenHealth Monroe; Fairfax cares for both voluntarily admitted and involuntarily committed patients at all locations.
We have helped serve our community for nearly 90 years. We have expanded our facilities and services over this time and are able to serve our entire community by meeting each patient’s individual needs. Patient recovery is important to the staff at Fairfax and we are committed to a supportive environment and an ongoing plan for long-term sobriety and improved mental health. Fairfax is dedicated to educating the public to the value of identifying and treating behavioral illnesses, addictions and their impact on people’s lives.
Treatment services include screening, orientation, assessment and referral, detoxification, treatment planning, crisis intervention, consultation, voluntary hospitalization, involuntary hospitalization, outpatient day treatment, intensive outpatient programming, education as well as, individual, family and group counseling while engaged in our programs.
